Today's experience was definitely better than my first visit. I tried the Bacon and Brie Burger and LOVED it!!!! The combination accentuated by the balsamic reduction and the pretzel bun was impressive. Service was so good on this visit. My only negative remark is how cold the interior is during the winter. With cement floors and cold surfaces it was uncomfortable. I noticed many diners kept their coats on.

I've had their beers at a few places around town (mainly The Hall), so I thought I'd stop back in and give them another chance. I'm glad I've gone back in, because every experience has been better than my initial visit... The sours are amazing! On Sunday, I had the HawaiIowan Punch and the Peach Pie Drips. The punch tasted just like the stuff your mom used to serve your after-school friends. You couldn't taste the alcohol, which is both good and bad. With all the praise I'm heaping on this particular beer it was outshined by the Peach Pie Drips. This beer had the perfect balance of graham cracker, vanilla, cinnamon, and peach flavor. I bought a 4-pack of it to take home with me. I gave one to a friend (begrudgingly) because he drove on a business trip. He was equally impressed. I'm sad that apparently I had the last beer out of the keg. I hope they just meant they needed to brew more--and not that its disappearing. The service has been perfunctory on every visit and the fries I had on my most recent visit were both plentiful for $4 and seasoned appropriately.

My husbands family likes to go here, and I always tag along for the vibes . The beer is good, I like the caramel apple! The food sits in my stomach like a hard rock baby, but everything else is very nice!

Solid menu of interesting burger options. I was in town for work and someone mentioned a cinnamon roll with chili, so when I saw a Pork belly cinnamon roll burger with chili on the menu, I had to try it! I have to say though, I was disappointed that it was a pork belly roll done like a cinnamon roll and there was no delicious dough with icing. Otherwise it was very good and paired well with the brussel sprouts and a flight. Very fast and friendly service, and I appreciated that you can order one burger patty instead of two. We got there early, but it filled in quickly on electik day Tuesday with locals.

Another 5 star review and another great visit! Barn Town Brewery in Waukee is no secret - it's a local favorite that draws crowds, especially on new release days. Be prepared to wait in line for their latest creations, but trust us, it's worth it. Even in the rain, their covered patio offers a perfect spot to enjoy their exceptional beers and food. The brew selection is outstanding, featuring creative concoctions with fun, whimsical names that deliver on both creativity and taste. What sets Barn Town apart is their commitment to elevating brewery fare. The menu ventures into gastropub territory, offering inventive dishes that pair beautifully with their beers. It's a cut above typical pub grub, making each visit a culinary adventure. The atmosphere balances casual fun with a touch of refinement. Whether you're a craft beer enthusiast or just looking for a great night out, Barn Town Brewery's unique offerings and lively ambiance make it a standout destination in the local beer scene.

Pleasant, not too loud. There are a lot of sours if you are a sour lover. Not too many hazy IPAs but the Neon is light and refreshing. I actually tried several sours. The cherry almond cup cake was good. Good delicious. I wish I had been more hungry as the special on Wed, chicken tender, looked amazing. I look forward to going back! Service was wonderful and inviting. Great ambiance.

I hadn't been to Barn Town in a while, but a old co-worker and I decided to get together a few nights ago and Barn Town is near where he lives in Waukee. We arrived at about 400 PM. The menu had completely changed since the last time I'd sat at one of their tables. I ordered the bulgogi cheesesteak with over roasted brussel sprouts and an iced tea, My friend ordered the crab rangoon flatbread and an iced tea. Service was great! We got seated right away, our drinks came fast and were refilled regularly. Our server checked on us throughout the meal. The food hit the table after a relatively short wait. I had questioned to myself if a comfort food centric place like Barn Town should be serving a Korean fusion dish like a bulgogi beef cheesesteak with kimchi... Isn't that a little outside of their wheelhouse? Maybe... Was it absolutely delicous? YES! It was. One of the better sandwiches I've had recently in the metro. One I'd definitely recommend to anyone visiting Barn Town. Would I make a special trip just for this sandwich? I think I would. Good food and service! I should probably get over here a little more often... Our bill was just over $40 before tip. And if you are a veteran Barn Town does offer a 10% veteran's/military discount. https://www.barntownbrewing.com/

I've heard lots of talk about barntown and I finally got the chance to eat here. I ordered the braised brisket sando with sweet potatoes and ranch. The portions are big here so I definitely had leftovers. The service here is also friendly. The restaurant is in an open space so you can hear a lot of conversations wherever you're sitting or standing. Location: this is in a strip mall looking area. There aren't any stores though, just restaurants from what I can tell. And the parking lot is usually packed. When I entered we did have a wait. If you're a drinker you're more than open to purchase one of their speciality drinks or beers at the bar. I think we waited maybe 20-ish minutes for a table for 2 people. This was on a weeknight so safe to say this place is very popular.

Vibes: Lively with conversations echoing throughout the restaurant. I was there on Saturday; late afternoon and it was packed! Perfect place for families to enjoy each other and watch some sports as well. Service: Amazing service! The server was hilarious and kept us entertained with interactions, jokes, etc. He made food suggestions that ended up being spot on. Food: The star of the experience was the amazing food! I love homemade French fries cooked well done and they did not disappoint! They were cooked perfectly and paired well with my Crab Rangoon Chicken sandwich which was also delicious. The chicken was cooked thoroughly and crispy. The Rangoon cream cheese spread was not overpowering at all. Although I didn't try the dessert, the pictures looked amazing! Pricing: Affordable. Location/Parking: Barn town Brewing is in a strip mall with plenty of parking which makes me happy. There is easy access in/out which is nice. Can't wait to go back and explore more menu items soon!

Food: 4* Atmosphere: 4* Value: 4* Service: 4* 2/29/2024 Another great stop with our son and daughter-in-law to celebrate her Leap Year Birthday. We again started with an order of Dips & Chips - have always enjoyed the thick-cut homemade chips and the dipping sauces...tonight was no different. For dinner, I ordered the Nashville Hot Ramen (at the server's suggestion - see picture) and really liked it. I will warn you though - I like spicy food and typically order Thai above average on the spicy scale...and this was the upper edge of my preferred spiciness, causing my lips to burn and eyebrows / nose to water. My wife ordered the Brewer's Burger (see picture) and really enjoyed (and of course I stole a couple of bites and will recommend it).
